Petrolad 9200 is designed to meet the requirements of gasoline and diesel engine oils based on API categories ranging from SB/CB to SL/CF and the latest motor cycle oil specification JASO T903:2016.
API Category SL is used in gasoline engines in present and earlier passenger cars, sports utility vehicles, vans and light trucks operating under vehicle manufacturers recommended maintenance procedures.
API Category CF is used in indirect-injection diesel engines and other diesel engines that use a broad range of fuel types, including those using fuel with high sulfur content. Effective control of piston deposits, wear and copper-containing bearing corrosion is essential for these engines, which may be naturally aspirated, turbocharged or supercharged.
Petrolad 9200 meets API SL/CF and can be cascaded down to lower API classifications.
Four-stroke motorcycles typically used oils designed for spark-ignited four-stroke passenger car engines. Due to the changes in fuel economy requirements in the latest PCMO categories, many oils have been formulated to contain friction modifiers. In a wet-clutch application in a motorcycle, such oils may cause clutch slippage and power loss. In order to address this problem, JASO defined a specification for motorcycle oils in 1998 which has undergone revisions in 2004, 2006, 2011 and 2016. Petrolad 9200 meets the latest 2016 specification.
